XIII ENCUENTROS DE GEOMETRIA COMPUTACIONAL

The 13th edition of the conference "Encuentros de Geometría Computacional" (EGC09) will be held between June 29 - July 1 at the University of Zaragoza (Faculty of Science) in Zaragoza (Spain).

The conference aims mainly to bring together the spanish-speaking community working in the area of Computational Geometry. However, english speakers are also encouraged to attend and would be particularly welcome. The spreading of results obtained and the proposal of new problems and lines of research are high on the list of objectives of the meeting.

The conference will feature presentations of accepted submissions as well as invited talks. Authors are encouraged to submit articles describing original research in Computational Geometry. The range of topics that are within the scope of the conference includes (but is not limited to):

• Combinatorial and Discrete Geometry.

• Applications of Discrete and Computational Geometry (Linear Programming, Computer Graphics, Virtual Reality, Robotics, Solid Modeling, CAD, Pattern Recognition, Image Processing, Graph Drawing, SIG, ...).

• Algorithms and complexity of geometric objects.

• Computational techniques and implementation of geometric algorithms.

• Geometric Data Structures.

• Polytopes and Polyhedra.

• Theoretical Fundaments of Computational Geometry.

• Geometric Software.

As in previous EGC meetings, both English and Spanish may be used freely. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings that will be distributed at the conference.
